Dumble

Dumble was brought in over the Bank Holiday because he was gagging and retching.  His owners knew that these symptoms could mean there was a problem as he had shown very similar signs a few years ago and we found he had a piece of grass at the back of his throat.

Vet Sophie saw him and was worried there might be something stuck in his throat again so he was admitted for an anaesthetic to find out what was going on.

We found a small blade of grass which was lodged right at the back of his nose (the pen is just for scale!). Although it wasn’t very big, it had been causing a lot of irritation. Once the piece of grass had been removed he was much more comfortable  and he went home the same day.

Dumble’s owners are hoping that he’s learnt his lesson this time and the problem won’t happen again!
