EMS student experience
At Avonvale Veterinary Centres, we are happy to take on EMS Students from all training stages.
Opportunities available for EMS students and working hours
We build strong relationships with our students and will do our best to offer opportunities where possible to help them develop their skills.
We ask students to join us from 8:30am to 6:30pm to work within our routine vet working hours.
What do we expect from our EMS students and what can they expect in return
We expect an EMS student to be professional, friendly and enthusiastic about helping, learning and following the rules of the practice. In return, we will support them by giving them broad clinical experience and offering opportunities to work on areas in which they would like to develop their skills such as IV cannula placement, blood sampling and clinical discussion.
Travel and accommodation
Our main hospital in Warwick has good road access, located just off the Warwick Bypass. We are only 1.5 miles from Warwick railway station and a 10-minute drive from Leamington Spa railway station. Our other 6 branches are situated in the surrounding area, all with ample car parking.
We are sometimes able to offer accommodation, depending on availability.
