Being able to get fast, accurate blood results is extremely important for very sick animals. Each of our seven surgeries has an in-house laboratory which enables us to have basic blood test results in about 20 minutes.
We can check, for example, for anaemia, diabetes, kidney and liver problems enabling us to start the right treatment for your pet as soon as possible, maximising their chances of a full recovery. Our in-house laboratories also enable us to perform tests on urine and skin.
The laboratory at our Warwick Hospital has enhanced facilities, enabling us to run more specialised tests. Having speedy access to these results is often crucial for pets brought in as emergencies to our Out of Hours Service.
For non-urgent or more specialised tests, we use a local external laboratory which, for most samples, operates with a less than 24-hour turnaround.
