CT Scanning Referral
If you would like to refer an animal to our CT Referral Service, please complete the form below. Any relevant documents including clinical history and lab results should be sent to us in addition to this form at [email protected]
A member of our team will then contact the client directly to arrange a suitable date for the scan to take place. An allocated admission time will be confirmed. These appointments will usually be admitted by one of our CT vets and receive a vet health check before their procedure. All patients will require sedation or general anaesthesia to facilitate the scan.
Most patients undergoing a CT scan will also likely require intravenous contrast media and as a result, will spend the day in hospital with us to receive intravenous fluid therapy afterwards; reducing the risk of contrast induced acute renal injury.
Our referral service is for a CT Scan ONLY. A referral consultation with a vet is NOT included and the results of the scan will be sent directly to the referring practice to continue patient treatment there.
Where additional procedures might be indicated as a result of CT findings (Fine needle aspirates, nasal biopsy etc) these may be offered to the client at the time of the procedure.
Please note, this form is only for completion by a member of staff from the referring practice.
