Currently, anyone can call themselves a veterinary nurse regardless of their level of training and qualification. The RCVS campaign is for recognition of the role of VNs within practice by ensuring that only qualified and registered nurses can use the title. At Avonvale we have always valued the training, expertise and high standards of qualified nurses and have been an accredited RCVS training practice for many years. Our registered nurses, wearing the traditional bottle green uniforms, train for 3 to 4 years for their qualification. The qualification covers a wide range of clinical and patient care skills and ensures our nurses provide consistently high standards of care.

As pet owners, when you see the green uniform or title Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) you can be sure that your pet is in safe hands.
