Saffi is a three month old Labrador Retriever. She was just settling into her new home when her owner noticed that she was suddenly a lot quieter than normal. She started vomiting and had diarrhoea. Because she was so small her body was not able to cope with losing all that fluid and she quickly became dehydrated.
Her owners brought her in to see vet Bex at our Wellesbourne surgery. Bex admitted Saffi and put her on a drip to help rehydrate her. Luckily Saffi's blood tests all came back normal and showed that she did not have the deadly parvovirus. After 48hrs of supportive care on a drip and lots of TLC she was back to her normal self and we were able to send her home, where she had been missed by everyone.
