Alfie came in to see vet Katie in June after he jumped out of his owner's van.
When Katie examined him she could feel that he had broken the bones in his front leg. We took some X-rays of his leg to find out where the bone was broken and decide on the best way to fix it. Alfie stayed in with us overnight with some pain relief and a supportive bandage on his leg to hold the bones still until they were fixed the next day.
The next day vets Kieran and Katie were able to operate on little Alfie. They had to use a metal plate attached to the bone to hold it in the correct position. This allowed his leg to heal. After lots of rest he is now back running around again.
