Freja had a lump grow on her top jaw just under her lip at the front. It had grown very quickly and she came in for an operation to remove it. Laboratory test results showed that it was a tumour that can grow quickly and would have destroyed her jaw over time, but doesn't tend to spread to other areas of the body.

A few months later it came back. In order to remove it and ensure that there was  no chance of it recurring Freja had to undergo major surgery where vets Kieran and Katie removed the front of her upper jaw to make sure all of the tumour cells were removed.

She coped really well with the operation and was even eating food that same night. As you can see from the photos,  looking at her you can hardly tell that anything has changed. She was kept on strong painkillers whilst she had time to heal up but she is now back to her normal self again.
