Smokey had just been adopted by his owner and was brought in to us to restart his vaccines.
His new owners were concerned about two lumps, one on the right hand side of his chest and one on his tail. Vet Kieran examined him and thought that these might be air gun pellets. Unfortunately it is not uncommon for us to get cats in that have been shot at with air guns.
The following week Smokey was booked in to be neutered and at the same time Kieran was able to remove the air gun pellets (see the photo below).
Smokey has made a good recovery and is now happily settled in to his new home.
